New opportunities for installers: remotely optimizing existing Solis systems with Powerselect®

2026 . 04 . 02
Where Accuselect initially expected that the recent launch of the cloud-to-cloud integration between Solis and Powerselect® would primarily be relevant for new installations, reality is proving otherwise.
Installers are increasingly reaching out with a different question: whether existing Solis systems can also be optimized.
One trigger for this was an installer who approached Accuselect with a concrete challenge. He had come into contact with a large group of consumers who had previously purchased a home battery system but are now running into issues. Not because their battery is broken, but because the control system is not functioning as expected — or no longer works at all. In some cases, it never worked properly to begin with.
Growing demand from existing installations
What started as an individual case appears to be part of a broader trend.
Accuselect is seeing a growing influx of both installers and end users with existing Solis systems who are looking for improvement or recovery. The underlying reasons vary:
- The need for better performance and higher savings
- Lack of a clear and user-friendly app showing performance and battery behavior
- Dissatisfaction with subscription fees for external control services
- Issues with unstable hardware-based solutions that frequently lose connection
In addition, there is a group of consumers who have been left behind after their original provider ceased operations or failed to deliver a working smart control solution. For this group, online communities are emerging — including active Facebook groups — where users collectively search for solutions.
Direct solution through cloud-to-cloud control
With the introduction of the cloud-to-cloud integration between Solis and Powerselect®, Accuselect now offers a solution specifically designed to address these challenges.
Installers can remotely connect existing Solis systems to the Powerselect® EMS platform, without requiring additional hardware or physical modifications. This enables them to:
- Optimize batteries for dynamic hourly pricing or imbalance trading via Frank Energie
- Provide users with clear insight into performance and savings
- Improve system reliability without adding extra hardware
This not only enhances the performance of existing systems, but also allows installers to support customers beyond their original installation scope.
A growing market requires reliable solutions for end users
The rapid adoption of home battery systems also has a downside. Many consumers struggle to navigate the growing number of options and end up with systems that do not perform optimally — or fail to deliver on expectations altogether.
At this stage, there is a clear responsibility for professional installation companies. By helping these customers and ensuring their systems function properly and transparently, they contribute not only to customer satisfaction, but also to trust in the broader home battery market. Without this effort, there is a real risk that negative experiences will impact the reputation of the entire sector.
Powerselect® now available for Solis systems
The cloud-to-cloud integration is now live for Solis battery systems in the Netherlands.
Installers working with Solis — or those approached by customers with existing systems — can join as a Powerselect® partner via:

With this development, Accuselect takes another step in making smart battery control accessible — including for systems already in the field.
